So there’s no easy way to say this, I’m obsessed with the idea of being a mermaid. Yet plug my nose when jumping in a pool or falling off a surf board. Sammy actually has to look away shaking his head. It’s embarassing. I guess this means I’m a poser mermaid, as I’m more about the beached wale mentality. Nevertheless, I can dominate some beachy hair!

Surf Spray is this sexy grungy texture-y product I use on myself and my clients all sumer long, so you can imagine my excitement to learn Bumble & Bumble created a shampoo and conditioner to enhance the look! 

The product is expected to hit the shelves in less than two weeks, but I’ve been using it and LOVING it. Stay tuned for a G I V E A W A Y.

As I pack for Vegas, I’m giddy and excited to be a sponge to the industry.

I’ll be attending the biggest apparel show, surrounded by fellow bloggers, and boutique owners, and yes, even fellow hairdressers.

I recently went through a style identity crisis.

I have the sweetheart blonde side, that finds charm in Tory Burch and BCBG, and then there’s this “Made In Detroit” side, that appreciates a lived in graphic tee, leather jacket, big hair, and smokey eye. I started feeling like, as a blogger, and self-proclaied fashion expert, I needed to have a style of my own. But often, as in daily, my look evolves and changes! My mood is a turning kaleidescope and changes with each song on my playlist. 

So then came the epiphany… I don’t need to identify with the sweet side, or the edgy side of fashion. I love both. I FEEL both. I truly AM both. And most importantly, I’m inspired by both. 

Identifying your personal style is expressive and liberating. What you wear from your fragrance to your fringe makes a statement to the world.

HAPPY SUNDAY!

This post is pushin midnight… we’re flirting with Monday, but I had an on-site wedding today so I’m happy to post at all. :)

It’s summerrrrr! Can you believe this week we’ll be celebrating the 4th of July. It’s nuts. 

With summer comes all kinds of terrifying territory… chlorine deposit, sunblock buildup, sea salt and product build up… and the list goes…
