Never underestimate the power of a hot pink lip!
Today is an extra long Tuesday! I have a full day at the salon, a mid-day meeting about a cool new beauty product, more clients, a coffee break with a bride-to-be, and then a graduation party for my no-longer assistant as she’s now promoted and has her OWN chair. THAT’s a day. Couldn’t have done it without my lip color.
No, really. After a few hours of running around, my makeup looks average, far from it did when I left the house. A lip color with BAM really keeps me looking fresh, polished and awake through midnight.
Try Candy Yum Yum! I can’t imagine it looking less than glam on anyone!

FROM THE RUNWAY TO THE AISLE
Let’s be honest. Not all runway makeup is wearable in an every day situation - let alone your wedding day. Being recently engaged mysef, I can’t really picture myself wearing THIS on possibly the most photographed day of my life. What is a trendy-loving bride to do?! Fear not my fashion-forward brides! I have sifted through the internet and found some looks from SS13 that easily translate from the runway to the aisle.
1. LUSCIOUS LASHES - Easily one of my favorite looks. Lashes are an instant way to boost the emphasis on your eyes without having to sacrifice the look of being soft and fresh. The best part is that they can be used with ANY look you go for on your big day.
2. TROPICAL POUT - A new spin on a classic red. Try pushing your favorite bright lip color a bit more neon. Balanced with a soft eye it immediately makes your skin look fresh and bright. Spring and Summer is the best time to get away with such a fun fresh look.
3. APRICOT A-GO-GLOW - Soft washes of apricot are a beautiful way to compliment any complexion. It instantly adds warmth and healthy flush to the skin. Don’t just limit it to your cheeks! Blend some apricot into your crease or try an peachy lip to add to the glow!
Don’t be afraid to integrate these trends into your every day look either. You may be surprised and find your new go to!

RED ALERT!
Too many ladies aren’t wearing red lipstick because it’s overwhelming to “deal” with. It can be a tedious application, and can get sloppy is not taken seriously.
So I give you… MY TIPS:
I’m a huge fan of fully covering my lips with my foundation FIRST, then applying powder onto them and finally applying the red lipstick. This fills the creases on your lips where excess lipstick tries to gather, and bleed from.
LipLINER. This is no joke. Even if your liner is the same color, it creates an outline and helps prevent bleeding! Keep that puppy SHARP too! A dull liner doesn’t create a crisp clean line.
Carefully lick the rim of your wine glass before sipping! Be sneaky or you’ll just look odd. The moisture creates a barrier and prevents lip color transfer!
Reapply, and blot. A trick from my Gram, and seriously necessary.
Pucker up!
