Thomas West Salon is now hiring! If you’re a recent cosmetology school graduate and looking for amazing training by two motivated rockstars- keep reading! 

Danielle Keller and myself are the educators of Thomas West Salon, and after promoting two amazing stylist to the floor, we’re looking to hire at least one new assistant. Assistants in our program get two hands on cut and color classes every week, and are PAID to learn. 

This is a full time position, and at the end of the program, a full time chair and career at Thomas West Salon awaits. The training is hard work, but with Danielle as your cutting educator, and ME as your color educator, we will help you grow and become the strongest stylist you can be, ready to take on ANY client that walks into the salon. The salon is located in downtown Chicago, right on the river in the Merchandise Mart.

My job behind the chair… Pause. Because it’s not really a job as much as it is playing and chatting and beautifying in the big sorority known as Thomas West Salon. My job delivers some of the most amazing conversation. I’ve come to be so close with all of you. I spend more one of one time with my clients than I get to with my best friend. 

You guys may not realize, but when you leave the salon, much of our conversation, lingers within me. I’m a ponderer. I’m always taking mental notes, and evolving as a woman, because of all of you. 

Here are some of the amazing things I sponged up from behind the chair recently:

“Yeah Age, I don’t want someone to talk about serenading me, I want someone to DO IT.”

“Who am I kidding, if I don’t find some athletic-kind of-hipster dude who’s actually super tidy and a clean freak like you seem to have, I’ll be forced to settle.”

“And I was all Rachel Ray until he fell for me.”

“I love him so much AJ. I know this is the man I’m supposed to be with.”

“When I find someone who appreciates my own laugh as much as I do, I’ll date her.”

“Bartending has sucked me in like Christian Grey. It’s a love hate relationship with money like I’ve never seen before.”
